This week I’ve been really busy filming all over the place. I’m filming for the new YouTube series I’m producing and presenting which I wont reveal too much about because the channel isn’t live yet and I want to be able to share with you guys all the correct information when it’s all live and ready to go – hopefully by next week! This week I’ve been up and down to London and the surrounding areas filming for the series and interviewing different YouTube stars – and they are stars you know. Its funny when I started researching for the series, I was blown away by just how successful some of these YouTubers are. I mean we’ve all heard of vlogging and people uploading random videos that go viral – quite often of the cat variety, but for so many people now, YouTubing is an actual profession and they take it very seriously. For instance this week I went and spent some time with the SACCONEJOLY family; a family from Ireland who now live in London. They’ve been vlogging their daily lives for five years – five years! They have over one million subscribers – over one million people all over the world tune in to watch them, well…live! They were a stunning family and as I interviewed them in this huge beautiful home, with their even cuter children I really did get this sense of ‘well done them.’ You can knock it all you like and in all honesty I was probably among the skeptics before I started really looking into YouTubers and what goes in to making their channel successful and it’s a lot of hard work. Jonathan – aka husband and dad of the SACCONEJOLYs family hasn’t had a single day off in five years because he has to film and upload his family’s daily life every single day – even whilst on holiday. The illusion in TV is to make people believe that the work that goes into this kind of thing is effortless, but trust me it’s anything but. Filming and editing and uploading requires a lot of work so I take my hat off to them for continuing and persisting with their channel. Now they’re reaping the rewards and who can begrudge that? I certainly don’t.
